Another successful Annual Runnebaum partyfest! Due to the heat we didn't have as long of a poker run as usual but it was still a blast! We even stopped off and surprised Eric at Mid-America Harley for his 50th birthday. We had good food and lots of fun. Already looking forward to next year.
Sometimes you're just not sure what you've been put on this earth to do and your life doesn't seem all that meaningful or exciting until one day you suddenly realize that you've already been Living......the Good Life.
I write and write and write. I am looking for authors and down-to-earth people who share my interest and can give a novice, like myself, good advice in this exciting but demanding field. Looking forward to hearing from you. God Bless!

Beautiful Advice
I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No. Her spirit is whole, her body is only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned.
I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.
I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.
I asked Got to help me LOVE others, as much as he loves me. God said......Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

Finally....
Well, the clubhouse/swingset is finally up. It's been a long time coming. We had this same playset back at our house on Wendy Lane when we first moved to Boonville. We originally bought it from one of Greg's nieces in Olathe. The boys loved it when we were at our old house. When Mark Ficken said he wanted to get rid of it because his kids had outgrown it, we jumped at it. Well, I jumped at it. Greg just saw it as more work he'd have to do. Which was right but it was all worth it. The boys love it and are so excited! And Greg even made a special place for it in our backyard. This picture is really deceiving. The swingset is actually off the ground and Greg is moving it with the tractor with the boys sitting on the swingset. They really enjoyed it while I walked along side them until Greg his a high spot in the yard and the swingset got caught and I yelled WAIT! STOP!! ...and the boys bailed. Quick movin' boys!

Family and memories
There are a lot of pictures here but they are so good. Most of these are when we all got together for Dad R.'s and Uncle Galen's birthday party. The Runnebaum family and (extended family) just keeps growing. I am as close to this family as I am to my own. They all are wonderful people. Enjoy the pics!

Water fun!
Is there anymore fun for kids than playing in the water. Whether it's in a pond, lake or stream or just in a sink! We are so fortunate to have this wonderful lake for the kids to play in. They love it. And they had a friend over for a week a while back (I watched a friend's little girl while she was at work) and they all had a ball. I think you'll agree that the pictures speak for themselves. And really enjoyed watching them have so much fun.
VBS
The kids had Vacation Bible School a few weeks ago (I'm a little behind in my blog postings - computer been on the outs and had it out for a week to get fixed. It's working wonderful now!!). Anyway, here are some pics of the kids having a wonderful time. Thanks to Trish and all the volunteer helpers that made it a success!
