I write and write and write. I am looking for authors and down-to-earth people who share my interest and can give a novice, like myself, good advice in this exciting but demanding field. Looking forward to hearing from you. God Bless!

Make the right choice

Life is full of choices. God's greatest gift to us was free will. Every morning we wake up, we have a choice. We can rise out of bed with a positive attitude ready to greet the day and take on whatever it throws our way. Or we can drag ourselves out with negativity and obstanance with a heart full of resentment and anger.

God has given us a wonderful place to live and grow. He has provided us with sunshine and beautiful scenery and opportunities to fullfill our inner most dreams if we only put forth the effort. People who fall off the horse and don't get back on are doing themselves a HUGE injustice. Not wanting to try and get back up on the horse is a cop out.

How many times do you think Thomas Edison failed before he saw that "bright light" for the first time? How many times do you think the Wright Brothers crashed before they finally got their air craft off the ground. Those people are people that got up every morning DECIDING to face the day and make it the best they possibly could. Those kinds of people are the winners. The losers are the ones that gripe and complain about how bad their world is and what other people are or aren't doing.

If you've ever attended Stephen Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, he talks about your Circle of Influence. Only worry about things you can control. Don't waste your energy on the things you can't. Wake up in the morning with Zest!! Because, remember, you DID wake up!! And that should be enough to get you off on the right foot.
